6 Attaching T he Nozzle • Remove three wing nuts from the front of the chip per shredder vacuum . • Place nozzle in posi tion over the three studs on unit and secur e with wing nuts just rem oved.
7 Throttle Control Lever (Not Shown) The throt tle cont rol leve r is loca ted on the eng ine. It control s the engine ’ s speed and sto ps the engine . See separat e engine manu al pack ed with unit for det ails. Starter Han d le (Not Shown) The starter handle is located on the engi ne.

Move engi ne throttle c ontrol le ver to FA ST or START p osition . • Place one foot on the left rear wheel to preven t the unit from ski dding whil e starting.
9 SECTION 5: ADJUSTING YOUR CHIPPER SHREDDER VACUUM WARNING: Do not at any time make a ny adjustments without fir st stopping engine, disconnecting spark plug wire, and grounding it aga inst the engine. Front Caster Wheels This ch ipper sh redder vac uum is equip ped with fr ont cast er wheels.
10 SECTION 6: MAINTAINING YOUR CHIPPER SHREDDER VACUUM WARNING: Before performing any mainte- nance or repairs, stop t he engine, wait until the m achine comes to a complete stop, disconnect the spark plug wire and ground agains t the engine to prevent unin- tended starting.

13 • Secure the impeller assembly to the crankshaf t using the he x bolt, lock washer, an d flat was her previo usly rem oved. Torque the bo lt to 5 50 in . lbs. to 700 in. lbs . • Place the housing bl ades agai nst the in ner housing. See Figure 16.
