9 T O ST OP ENGINE 1. Run engine for a few minutes before stopp ing to help dry o ff any m oistu re on the engine . 2. To help prevent possi ble free ze-u p of sta rter, proceed as follow s: Optional Elect ric Starte r Con nect power co rd to switch bo x on engi ne, then to 120 volt A C recepta cle.
10 SHIFT ROD AD JUSTMENT To adjust the s hift rod, re move the cott er pin whic h secures the sh ift rod t o th e shift l ever. For proper adjustm ent, ref er to FINAL ADJ USTME NTS on pag e 6. SKID SH OE A DJUS TME NT The space be tween the s have plate and the groun d can be adjusted .

13 Changing the Frict ion Wheel The rubber on the frict ion wheel is subje ct to wear and sh ould be ch ecke d after 2 5 hours of operat ion, and p eri odic all y ther eaf ter . Re plac e the fr iction wheel ru bber i f sign s of ex cessiv e wear or crac king are found.
