7 F inal Clutch Adjustment To chec k the clutc h cable adjust ment, proceed as follows. • Discon nect the spa rk plug wire an d move it away from the spa rk plug to preven t acciden tal starting. • Engage an d release the tine engage ment hand le, then t he revers e tine engagemen t lever (model 3 90 only).
8 Depth Stak e The depth s take control s the tilling de pth. Refer to OPERA TING YOUR TILL ER in Section 4. Tines An d End Cap s The tilling tines an d end caps (ar e used to cult ivate, furrow, and pr eapre yoru ga rden for se eding. The end caps (Mo del 390 only ) are used to avo id tilled soi l from ove rflowi ng onto un wanted ar eas.
9 • Stand at si de of tiller . Grasp the st arter hand le and pull out sl owly, until it pulls slig htly hard er. Let rope rewind slo wly. • Pull rope wi th a rapid full arm s troke. Do not al low handle to sn ap back . Allow it to r ewind slowl y while keeping a fi rm hold on the starter handle.
