6 Final Adjustments Auger C ontrol Adjustme nt Check the ad justment of th e auger con trol as follows : • Push for ward on the aug er contr ol until the s mall rubber bumpe r contac ts the upper ha ndle. There should be s lack in the cable. See Figure 5 .
7 • Rechec k the adjust ment and r epeat adjustme nt as necessar y. • Retig hten the jam nut to secure the cable when corre ct adjustm ent is reached . NOTE: If you are unc ertain that y ou have r eached the correct adj ustment, refer to Tr action Contr ol Adjustm ent in Adj ustment Se ction.
8 Electric C hute-Rotation Switc h The ele ctr ic chut e-rotation s wit ch is locate d on t he left side of t he snow thr ower dash panel. See Figur e 7. To chan ge the direc tion in w hich dis charged s now is thr own, proc eed as fo llo ws: • Push th e toggle sw itch to the left to rotate the chute count erclockwi se.
9 WARNING: The electric st arter is equipped with a grounded three-wire power cord and p lug and is des igned to operate on 120 volt AC household current . It must be us ed with a properly grounded three- prong receptacle at all times to avoid the possibility of elect ric shock.
10 WARNING: The temperature of the muffler and the su rrounding areas may e xceed 150 ° F. Avoid th ese are as. • For the mos t effici ent snow rem oval, r emove snow immed iately afte r it falls. • Discha rge the snow d ownwind wheneve r poss ible.

If disass embled for any reason, l ubricat e with 2 ounces of Shell Al vania grease EPR0 0, part numbe r 737-0168. Be fore reasse mbling, remo ve old seal ant and app ly new sealant.

14 • Remove the click pin tha t secures the left whe el to the axle and slide the wheel fr om the axle. • Remove the four screws securing the left dr ive cove r to the frame . Remove the drive co ver. See Figure 16. Fig ure 1 6 • Holding the frictio n wheel ass embly, slide the hex shaft out of th e left s ide of th e frame.
