8 SECTION 5: MAKING ADJUSTMENTS WARNING: NEVER attempt to make an y adjustments while the e ngine is running. Control Cable & Belt T ension As a result of both the control cable and the drive belt stretching due to wear, per iodic adjustments may be necessary.
9 Figure 5 • Carefully release t he idle r bracket and allow it to pivot downward. • Carefully slip the drive belt off the auger pulley, freeing it from the sn ow thrower. See Figure 5. • Install the replacement dr ive belt by following the preceding steps in reve rse order.
