7 COFFEEMAKER FEATURES AND BENEFITS Your new MR. COFFEE ® Coffeemaker has the following features: • Brewing Capacity – 12 c ups/ 60 oz. • Removable Filter Basket – T h e fi lt er ba sk e t p ul ls ou t f or fa s t a n d e as y c le an in g a n d fi ll in g.
8 • Delay Brew – Allows you to preset when you would like the coffeemaker to automatically begin brewing your coffee, up to 24 hours in advance. • Adjustable Warming Plate – (not on thermal models) Allows you to keep your coffee hot after brewing and adjust the temperature to fit your taste.
SETTING THE CLOCK AND DELAY BREW TIME To Set the Clock: 1. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The clock will flash on the control panel to indicate that the time has not been set yet. 2. Press and hold the HOUR and then the MINUTE buttons until you reach the current time.
10 PREPARING FOR USE Selecting and Measuring Ground Coffee For best results, use a level tablespoon for ground coffee measurement. Make sure you use medium grind coffee for a perfect brew. A. Suggested Coffee Measurement Chart To Brew Ground Coffee 12 Cups 9 tbsp.
B. Water Filtration System Congratulations! You are the owner of a MR. COFFEE ® Water Filtration System. This carbon-based water filter reduces chlorine up to 97% for better tasting coffee. First, look for the MR. COFFEE ® Filtration Friendly symbol on the bottom of your filter basket.
12 C. Adding Water and Ground Coffee 1. Remove the brew basket by pulling toward you like a drawer (Figure 4). Lift the water filter holder to the open positon. 2. Use the permanent coffee filter already installed in the brew basket or remove it and place a MR.
13 BREWING COFFEE NOW 1. After completing the steps in the Adding Water and Coffee section and with the glass decanter and the filt er ba sket secur ely in plac e, turn the coffeemaker on by press ing the BR EW NO W/O FF button once.
14 4. Pri or to mak ing a secon d pot of co ffe e, tur n the coffeemaker off. This will reset the Fresh Brew ™ Timer feature. To turn the coffeemaker off, press the BREW NOW/OFF button until all lights turn off. 5. Make sure the decanter is empty before starting to brew coffee.
15 Adjustable Temperature Warming Plate The warming plate can be adjusted from low to high heat by moving the slide to the right (Figure 12). BREWING COFFEE LATER 1. You must first set the time for when you would like the coffeemaker to begin brewing your coffee as described in the Setting the Clock and the Delay Brew Timer section.
16 CLEANING AND MAINTAINING YOUR COFFEEMAKER Daily Cleaning Always unplug the coffeemaker and allow to cool before cleaning. Remove the filter basket, permanent filter, decanter and decanter lid and wash them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap.
Water Filtration Disk Replacement Your water filtration disk will need to be replaced once a month (approx. 30 brew cycles). If the machine will not be in use for an extended period of time, rinse the water filter with running water and clean the coffeemaker before use.

20 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE Replacement Parts • Coffee Filters – For better tasting coffee, we recommend that you use a MR. COFFEE ® brand 10-12 cup basket-style paper filter or a MR. COFFEE ® brand permanent filter. These filters are available at most grocery stores.

29 CONFIGURACIÓN DEL RELOJ Y HORA DE PREPARACIÓN DEMORADA Para configurar el reloj: 1. Enchufe el cable de alimentación eléctrica en una toma de corriente estándar. El reloj destellará en el panel de control para indicar que la hora aún no ha sido configurada.
30 PREPARACIÓN PARA EL USO Cómo seleccionar y medir el café molido Para obtener mejores resultados, utilice cucharadas a ras para medir el café molido.
B. Sistema de filtrado de agua ¡Felicitaciones! Usted es propietario de un sistema de filtrado de agua MR. COFFEE ® . Este filtro de agua a base de carbono mejora el gusto del café, ya que elimina hasta el 97% del cloro contenido en el agua. Busque el símbolo que indica compatibilidad con los productos MR.
32 C. Cómo agregar agua y café molido 1. Retire el portafiltro tirando hacia usted como si fuera un cajón (Figura 4). Levante el soporte del filtro de agua para llevarlo a la posición de abierto. 2. Utilice el filtro de café permanente ya instalado en el portafiltro o retírelo y coloque un filtro de papel para 10 a 12 tazas marca MR.
33 PREPARACIÓN INMEDIATA DE CAFÉ 1. Luego de completar los pasos en la sección Cómo agregar agua y café y con la jarra y el portafiltro correctamente colocados, encienda la cafetera presionando una vez el botón de PREPARACIÓN INMEDIATA/APAGADO.

35 Placa Calentadora Ajustable La temperatura de la placa calentadora puede ajustarse de baja a alta moviendo el control deslizante hacia la derecha (Figura 12).
36 LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO DE LA CAFETERA Limpieza diaria Antes de limpiar la cafetera, desenchúfela y deje que se enfríe. Retire el portafiltro, el filtro permanente, la jarra y su tapa, y lávelos en una solución de agua caliente y jabón líquido suave.
37 Reemplazo de discos de filtro de agua El disco de filtro de agua debe ser reemplazado una vez al mes (aproximadamente cada 30 ciclos de preparación de café). Si la máquina no se ha de utilizar por un plazo prolongado, enjuague el filtro de agua con agua corriente y limpie la cafetera antes de volver a usarla.

40 SERVICIO Y MANTENIMIENTO Piezas de Repuesto • Filtros – Para un café con mejor sabor, recomendamos que utilice un filtro de papel tipo canasta para 10-12 tazas marca MR. COFFEE ® o un filtro permanente marca MR. COFFEE ® . Estos filtros están disponibles en la mayoría de los supermercados.
