4 BEFORE FIRST USE 1. Remove all packing materials and make sure that the pr oduct has been received in good condition. 2. T aking care to keep the electrical components on the exterior of the kettle dry , wipe out the interior of the kettle with a damp cloth.

Always use the handle when moving the kettle until it has cooled completely . 3 2 TO BOIL W A TER CAUTION Place power base on a sturdy , level and dry surface.

7 TO CLEAN MAX 6 Cups 5 Cups 4 2 MIN Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth, taking care to avoid the electrical components. Rinse any remaining soapy water from the kettle. Drain. T aking caution around the heating element, clean the interior of the kettle with a soft sponge and warm, soapy water .
8 Open the kettle lid and place the lter inside such that the bottom and sides of the lter are r esting on the three inside ridges. Press the lter rmly downwar ds until it clicks into place. The lter should now be securely inserted to the kettle.
9 Allow the mixture to soak overnight. MAX 6 MIN 5 4 2 4 Fill the kettle halfway with water . Add one cup of white vinegar to the water in the kettle. Following the instructions in “TO BOIL WA TER” on page 5, bring the water to a boil.
10 The kettle and indicator light do not work when the power switch is down. • Make sur e the kettle is seated properly on the power dock and that the power cord is connected to a functioning electrical outlet. • W ater or debris on the bottom of the kettle or on the power base may interfere with the functioning of the kettle.
