4 BEFORE FIRST USE 1. Read all instructions and important safeguards. 2. Remove all packaging materials and check that all items have been received in good condition. 3. T ear up all plastic bags as they can pose a risk to children. 4. W ash steam vent and all other accessories in warm, soapy water .
5 4 1 3 2 TO COOK RICE Using the provided measuring cup, add rice to the inner cooking pot. Place the inner cooking pot into the rice cooker . Fill with water to the line which matches the number of cups of rice being cooked. Rinse rice to remove excess star ch.
6 9 10 The rice cooker will now begin cooking. The cooking indicator light will illuminate. The rice cooker will countdown the nal 12 minutes (White Rice) and 25 minutes (Brown Rice) of cook time. 13 When nished serving rice, turn the rice cooker off by pr essing the POWER/KEEP WARM button twice and unplug the power cord.

9 TO USE THE DELA Y TIMER 11 8 10 9 Follow steps 1 to 7 of “T o Cook Rice” beginning on page 5. Press the DELA Y TIMER button. Each press incr eases in half an hour increments. It may be set to have rice ready in 1 to 15 hours. The time selected will indicate when cooking will be complete.
10 For better results, stir the rice with the serving spatula to distribute any remaining moistur e. When nished serving rice, turn the rice cooker off by pr essing the POWER/KEEP WARM button twice and unplug the power cord. 15 14 Once rice is nished, the rice cooker will beep and automatically switch to Keep-W arm.
11 TO SLOW COOK 4 1 3 2 Add food to be slow cooked to the inner cooking pot. Plug the power cord into an available outlet. Close the lid securely . Place the inner cooking pot into the rice cooker . NOTE • The Slow Cook function operates as a traditional “High” Slow Cook function.
12 Open the lid to check food for doneness. If fully cooked, remove food for serving. 11 When nished serving, turn the rice cooker off by pressing the POWER/ KEEP W ARM button and unplug the power cord. 12 The rice cooker will begin to slow cook. The digital display will countdown from the selected time.
13 • Do not use the provided serving spatula to sauté. It is not intended to be used in contact with high temperatures. Use a long-handled wooden or heat-safe spoon to stir food while sautéing. CAUTION X Place the inner cooking pot into the rice cooker and close the lid.
14 When nished serving, turn the rice cooker off by pr essing the POWER/ KEEP WARM button twice and unplug the power cord. Once the meal has cooked, the rice cooker will beep and automatically switch over to Keep-W arm. TO USE SAUTÉ-THEN-SIMMER ™ (CONT .
15 TO SAUTÉ ONL Y Add ingredients to be sautéed/ browned to the inner cooking pot. Press the POWER/KEEP W ARM button to turn on the rice cooker . Plug the power cor d into an available outlet. Place the inner cooking pot into the rice cooker and close the lid.
16 TO SAUTÉ ONL Y (CONT .) Using a long-handled wooden spoon, stir ingredients until sautéed/ browned to the desir ed level. When nished sautéing, turn the rice cooker off by pr essing the POWER/ KEEP WARM button twice and unplug the power cord.
17 TO STEAM Using the provided measuring cup, add 3 rice cooker cups of water to the inner cooking pot. Place the steam tray into the rice cooker . Place food to be steamed onto the steam tray .
18 TO STEAM (CONT .) Press the MENU button to select the Steam function. The digital display will show a ashing 0:05 to repr esent 5 minutes of steam time. 8 9 Use the UP + or DOWN - buttons to set the time. These buttons will adjust steam time by 1 minute, up to 60 minutes.
19 NOTE • Do not attempt to cook more than 6 cups (uncooked) of rice if steaming and cooking rice simultaneously . • It is possible to steam at any point during the rice cooking cycle. However , it is recommended that you steam during the end of the cycle so that steamed food does not grow cold or become soggy before the rice is r eady .
20 If food is nished steaming, remove steam tray using a hot pad or oven mitt. When nished serving rice, turn the rice cooker off by pressing the POWER/KEEP W ARM button twice and unplug the power cord. Allow the rice cooker to continue cooking rice.

22 Plug the cord into an available outlet. 4 Add ingredients to the inner cooking pot. Close the lid securely . Place the inner cooking pot into the rice cooker . 1 CAUTION • The rice cooker will not switch to Keep-W arm until all liquid is boiled away .
23 Press the MENU button to select the Soup function. The display will ash 0:30 indicating the 30 minute default cook time. Once cooking is complete, press the POWER/KEEP WARM button to switch the rice cooker to Keep- W arm.
24 Connect the power cord to the rice cooker and plug into an available outlet. 4 Follow instructions on cake mix packaging or recipe to mix liquid ingredients and cake mix. Add cake mix into the inner pot. Close the lid securely . Place the inner cooking pot into the rice cooker .
25 Use the UP + or DOWN - buttons to set the time. These buttons will adjust the cake time by 5 minutes. Cook time can be set between 5 minutes and 2 hours. 7 Once the needed time is selected, the rice cooker will beep to indicate it is setting at the displayed time.
26 NOTE Remove the steam vent. Wipe rice cooker body clean with a damp cloth. Soak the inner cooking pot and all accessories or wash them in the dishwasher . Remove the condensation collector . 4 1 • Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or products that are not consider ed safe to use on nonstick coatings.
27 TROUBLESHOOTING Rice is too dry/hard after cooking. If your rice is dry or hard/chewy when the rice cooker switches to Keep-W arm, additional water and cooking time will soften the rice. Depending on how dry your rice is, add ½ to 1 cup of water and stir through.

30 Sauté-Then-Simmer ™ Risotto Press the POWER/KEEP W ARM button to turn on the rice cooker . Add onion, garlic and olive oil to inner cooking pot. Press the SAUTÉ-THEN-SIMMER ™ button. The sauté indicator light will illuminate. Add rice and mix with a long handled spoon until well coated.
31 Gr een Chile Chicken and Rice Press the POWER/KEEP W ARM button to turn on the rice cooker . Place all ingredients in the inner cooking pot and stir . Place inner cooking pot into the rice cooker , cover and press the WHITE RICE button. Allow to cook until rice cooker switches to Keep-W arm.
32 Jambalaya Cut the smoked sausage in half, lengthwise, then into 1/4” half circles. Add all ingr edients to the inner pot and mix well. Place inner pot in the rice cooker and close the lid. Set to the White Rice function. The rice cooker will automatically switch to Keep-W arm mode once the meal is ready .
33 Br eakfast Oatmeal Set the rice cooker to its Sauté-Then-Simmer ™ (STS ™ ) function and add the milk and sugar . Stir until milk is warm and sugar has dissolved. Add salt and oatmeal. Close the lid and set to the White Rice function. Serve when oatmeal is nished cooking.
