12 27D8520 LOG PLACEMENT FILLING THE BURNER P AN Fill the burner pan with vermiculite to the bottom of the rear log and sloped to the front edge of the burner pan. Excess ver- miculite can spill forward or to the side of the burner pan. Do not overfill the propane model.

Although MHS, Inc. goes to great lengths to design vented gas log sets that minimize sooting, all vented log sets will soot over time.
