Correct installation of the ceramic fiber logs, proper location of the heater , and annual cleaning are neces- sary to avoid potential problems with sooting. Sooting, resulting from improper installation or operation, can settle on surfaces outside the fireplace.

This zero-clearance unvented gas heater can be installed against any wall that is accessible to a gas line.

Place sides in the approximate location on base. Align back edge of side with back of base. Secure joining block #1 to bottom of side using two (2) 1 Zv ” screws.

20 CFX V e nt F ree F ireplace S ys te m 20301726 LOG PLACEMENT Before you begin — This unit is supplied with a set of three ceramic fiber logs. Do not handle these logs with your bare hands. Always wear gloves to prevent skin irritation from ceramic fibers.

23 CFX V e nt F ree F ireplace S ys te m 20301726 OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS A void any drafts that alter burner flame patterns. Do not allow fans to blow directly into the fireplace. Do not place a blower inside the burn area of the firebox. Ceiling fans may create drafts that alter flame patterns.
