5 P RA CTICAL TIPS - If the water is very hard, it is recommended that a water softener be added to the system so as to reduce the f or mation of limescale in the boiler exchangers . This will ensure that the efficiency of the unit remains the same ov er time, reducing gas consumption and maintenance costs .
6 E CONOMY / COMFOR T MODE The selector knob “E” allows the user to choose the econom y mode (position “E”) or the comf or t mode (position “C”). The economy mode is the normal state for the oper ation of the boiler , since the domestic water is heated up only when a tap is turned on.
