1 GENERAL 1. Carefully read the following important information regar ding installation safety and maintenance. Keep this information b ooklet accessible for further consultations. 2. The appliance has b een designed as a e xh austing version (external exhaust) or as a charcoal filter version (internal air rec ycle) cooker hood.
2 MAINTENANCE Proper maintenance of the Rang e Ho od will assure proper performance of the unit. DISPOSAL Do not dispose this product as unsor ted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for sp ecial treatment is necessar y . Grease Filters The grease filters should be cleaned freq uently .
3 PREP A R E THE HOOD Unpack hood and check contents. Y ou should receive: 1.- Hood 1 - Glass 1 – Decorative Chimney ( bottom or both bottom and top ) 1 – Parts Bag: 1 – Hood Mounting Brack et 1.
4 INST A LL THE DUCTWORK (DUCTED HOODS ONL Y) Caution: T o reduce the risk of fire, use metal ductwork is preferred. 1. Decide where the ductwork will r un between the hood and the outside. 2. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood to perform most efficiently .
5 INST A LL THE HOOD Minimum hood distance above cookto p must not be less than 650mm. A maximum of 750mm above the cooktop is highl y recommended for best capture of cooking im purities. Distance over 750mm above t he cooktop are at the installer ’s and user ’s discretion - providing that ceiling height and flue length permit.
6 INST A LL FIL TERS (DUCTED A ND NON-DUCT ED HOODS) 1. T o remove the greas e filter , p ush in on them metal latch tab. This will disengage the filter from the hood. T ilt the filter downward and remove. 2. T o install the grease filter , align rear filter tabs with sl ots in the hood.
