3 - 25 3 - 25 Point (1) Operation in autom atic save setting If the GT Designer2 s tops or a power f ailure occ urs in autom atic s ave setting, the GT Des inger2 shows the dialog box below at the next s tart-up. • If a pr oject f ile is available (a pr oject is saved in the past), this dialog box appears when the projec t file is opened.

4 - 1 4 - 1 4. CREA TING AND EDITING SCREEN 4.1 Selecting Project at the Start of GT Designer2 At the start of GT Designer2, the proj ect selec tion dialog box is dis play ed. Select whether a projec t is newly created or existing proj ect data is edited.
4 - 2 4 - 2 4.2 Creating a New Project A new project is c reated. Perf orm either of the following operations. • Click (New). • Select [Project] [New] m enu.
4 - 3 4 - 3 4.3 Opening/Closing Project 4.3.1 Opening project A saved projec t data is read f rom the proj ect save sour ce. Perf orm either of the following operations. • Click ( Open). • Select [Project] [Open] menu. T he open dialog box is displayed.
4 - 4 4 - 4 (2) Using exis ting DU (data acces s unit) data • DU series: Selec t the DU-W IN f ile and open the projec t data. The DU-W IN file is the pr oject data prepar ed with the FX-PCS-DU/W IN drawing software. Up to V er . 1.01B, a tempor ary file is created in the som e f older of DU-W IN f ile in reading.

4 - 9 4 - 9 4.6 Opening/Closing Screen 4.6.1 Opening screen Point Number of sc reens that c an be opened at a tim e Maxim um 25 screens can be opened. Screen data are im por ted on the currently editing project. The proc edures ar e as follows: (1) Open the sc reen fr om the work spac e.
4 - 10 4 - 10 In this sect ion, the method of opening the sc reen fr om the works pace in (1) is described. Double clic k the desired sc reen f or opening in the projec t works pace. T he open scr een is clos ed. Closing all sc reens. Select [Screen] [Clos e All] fr om the menu to c lose all open sc reens.
4 - 13 4 - 13 4.7 Operating Multiple Screens 4.7.1 Cascading/tiling screens Multiple screens in the projec t are reorder ed. Select [W indow] [Cascade]/[Tile V ertical]/[Tile Horiz ontal]. Multiple open sc reens ar e reordered as follows: (Ex.) • Cascade Overlapped sc reens are dis played tow a rd the lower right lik e a stairc ase.
4 - 14 4 - 14 4.7.2 Making editing screen active T o edit a sc reen while multiple s creens are displayed, mak e the edit scr een active with either of the methods below: Select the screen name from the [W indow] menu.
4 - 15 4 - 15 4.8 Changing Screen Property Screen settings such as screen num ber or hom e are changed. Select the desired sc reen to change the proper ty in the project workspac e and select [Pr operty] by right click ing on the m ouse. T he scr een property dialog box appears.

T he im age displayed on the GOT is displayed on the preview screen. The preview display can be changed/output fr om each m enu.

4 - 19 4 - 19 4.10 Copying/Deleting Screen 4.10.1 Copying screen data Select the desired sc reen for copying in the project work space and right c lick the m ouse to selec t the [Copy ] menu. Up to 25 s creens c an be copied at a tim e. Right click Right clic k the m ouse again and select the [Paste].

4 - 27 4 - 27 4.13 Saving Project 4.13.1 Overw riting and saving project W hen an existing data has been edited, the projec t is overwritten and saved. Perf orm either of the following operations. • Click (Overw rite). • Select [Project] [Save] menu.
