GB - 10 Inst all Discharge Chute Crank (Figures 3 and 6) 1. Slide chute crank th rough c rank su pport br acket. 2. Connect the ch ute crank to the pi nion gear on chute w ith sprin g clip. Check Tir e Pressure Check tire pressu re and adjus t to the p ressure lis ted on tire si dewall.

GB - 12 CONTROLS AND FEA TURES See F igure 7 for all Control s and Featur es locati ons. T raction Drive Clutch - Lef t Hand Lever IMPORT ANT : Do not " feather" the tractio n drive cl utch to control speed or run the unit with t he traction drive clutch parti ally engag ed.
GB - 13 T o clear the disc harge c hute: 1. Shut off the en gine. 2. W ait 10 seco nds and m ake sur e impell er blade s have s topped ro tating. 3. Remove the snow clean-out tool (1) fr om the auger ho using and u se it to remo ve the clog from the dis charge chu te.
GB - 14 T O STOP IN AN EMERGENCY Imme diately r elease both contro l leve rs to stop unit in an em ergency . S top engine , remove key and wait for all r otating parts to stop before le aving op erator ’s position. ST ARTING AND SHUT OFF IMPORT ANT : Allo w unit a nd engine to adju st to the out door t empe ratur e bef o re cl eari ng snow .
GB - 15 Tip s for Operat ion Snow is best removed as soon as possible a fter snow fall. T o clear an area , run unit in an o verlappin g serie s of paths. For l arge areas , start in the mi ddle and throw snow to each sid e, so snow is not cle ared mor e than once.

GB - 18 DISCHARGE CHUTE If ch ute does n ot stay in po sition while op erating, tighten nut on car riage b olt at piv ot point to increase tensio n on sp ring (F igure 14). ATTACHMENT CLUTCH/BRAKE ADJUSTMENT 1. Check attachm ent cl utch lev er meas ur eme nt.
