Competitive Telephone User Interface (TU I) User Gu ide 6 Accessing Y our Mailbox All of your voice messages will reside in your person al mailbox, which you can protect by a passcode. Y our System Administrator will assign you a temporary passcode to use the first time you access your mailbox.
Setting Up Your Mailbox 7 Setting Up Y our Mailbox When you access your mailbox for the first time, a us er tutorial autom atically activate s. This tutorial guides you through your fir st mailbox session, explains how to record a gr eeting and your name, and prompt s you to change your temporary pa sscode.

Playing Messages 9 Playing Messages When you acc ess your mailbox to retrieve yo ur messages, the system first tells you how many messages you have ("Y o u have 2 urgent messages and 4 un played messages"). Playing Y our V oice Messages After accessing your mailbox , press to play .

Making Message s 11 Making Messages Once you have acce ssed your mailbox an d entered your passcode , you can make a message before or after listening to any unplayed messa ges in your mailbox. Remember messages can be addressed to oth er mailboxes, distribution list s, and off-system telephone number s.

User Options 13 Using a distribution list • Instead of entering a ma ilbox number , enter th e number of the distribu tion list you want to use. The syste m reads back the nu mber of the distrib ution list. Call Schedule Options • NP W akeUp allows you to prog ram NuPoint V oice to call you at a specific telephone number at a specific time.
