-1- ABOUT YOUR PHONE The Mitel Networks 3300 CITELlink Gate way allows your Nortel Networks™ Norstar phone to work on a Mitel Networks 3300 Inte g rated Communications Platform (3300 ICP).
-2- Phone buttons Phone status indicators Conventions The following conventions are used in this user guide: z Fixed-function keys are identified by bold uppercase letters (for example, TRANS/CONF ). z Text that appears on th e display is identified by double quotes (for example, "Language?").
-3- Using Your Norstar Phone with the 3300 CITELlink Gateway Please note the following differences in the way your phone now operates: z You can program speed call numbers, personal keys as well as enable/disable features using SUPERKEY . To navigate through the menus, use * and # on the keypad.
-4- CUSTOMIZING YOUR PHONE Ringer Control To adjust the Ringer Volume while the phone is ringing: z Press + or - . To adjust the Ringer Pitch or Vo lume while the phone is idle: 1. Press SUPERKEY . 2. Press # (No) until "Ringer Adjust?" appears.
-5- Language Change To change the display language: 1. Press SUPERKEY . 2. Press # (No) until "Langu age?" appears. 3. Press * (Yes). 4. Press * (Change). 5. Press # (No) until the desire d language appears. 6. Press * (Yes). MAKING AND ANSWERING CALLS Make a call 1.
-6- Redial - Saved Number To save the last number that you manually dialed: 1. Lift the handset. 2. Dial **79 . To Redial a saved number: 1. Lift the handset.
-7- Speed Call - Personal Note: Personal Speed Call lists must be configured by the Administrator. To store a personal Speed Call number: 1. Lift the handset.
-8- Handsfree Operation To use Handsfree Operation to make calls: 1. If you want to use a Non-Prime Li ne, press a Line Ap pearance key. 2. Dial the number. 3. Communicate by using the sp eaker and the microphone. To use Handsfree Operation to answer calls: 1.
-9- On-Hook Dialing To dial without lifting the handset: 1. If you want to use a Non-Prime Li ne, press a Line Ap pearance key. 2. Dial the number. 3. Lift the handset. Auto-Answer To enable or disable Auto-Answer: z Press the AUTO-ANSWER feature key.
-10- CALL HANDLING Hold To place a call on Hold: z Press Hold . To retrieve a call from Hold: 1. Lift the handset. 2. Press the flashing line key. To retrieve a call from Ho ld at another station: z Press the flashing line key. - OR - Dial **1 and the number of the station that placed the call on Hold.
-11- Conference Split To Split a Conference and speak pr ivately with the original party: 1. Press TRANS/CONF . 2. Dial *41 . To return to the conference call: z Press TRANS/CONF . Swap To call another party when you are in an established two-party call: 1.
-12- Call Forward Call Forward lets you redirect incoming calls to an alternate number. Always redirects all incoming calls regardless of the state of yo ur phone. B-Int redirects internal calls wh en your phone is busy, an d B-Ext redirects external calls when your phone is busy.
-13- Call Forward - Remote To forward calls from a remote st ation to your current location: 1. Press SUPERKEY . 2. Press # (No) until "Call Forw arding?" appears. 3. Press * (Yes). 4. Press # (Next) until "I Am Here" appears. 5. Press * (Yes).
-14- Call Forward - Override To override Call Forward and ring a station: 1. Lift the handset. 2. Dial *1* . 3. Dial the exte nsion number. Messaging - Advisory To turn Messaging - Advisory on: 1. Press SUPERKEY . 2. Press # (No) until "Advisor y Msgs?" appears.
-15- Messaging - Cancel Callback To cancel a Callback: 1. Lift the handset. 2. Dial *1# . 3. Dial the number of the called station. 4. Hang up. Messaging - Cancel All Callbacks To cancel all Callbacks: 1. Lift the handset. 2. Dial #1 . 3. Hang up. USING ADVANCED FEATURES Account Codes To use Forced Account Codes: 1.
-16- Call Park To retrieve a call parked by the attendant: 1. Lift the handset. 2. Dial *23 . 3. Dial the console ID and the Hold Slot number. Call Pickup To answer a call that is ringing at another station in your Pickup Group: 1. Lift the handset. 2.
-17- Do Not Disturb To activate or deactivate Do Not Disturb: z Press the Do Not Disturb feature key. - OR - z Press SUPERKEY . z Press the NO softkey until "Do Not Disturb" appears. z Do one of the following: Press TurnOn to activate Do Not Disturb.
-18- Direct Paging Direct Paging allows you to page a party through their phon e speaker. If the paged party has Off-Hook Voice Announc e enabled, the page will be heard even when the party is on a handset call. To page a party: 1. Lift the handset. 2.
-19- Group Paging / Meet Me Answer Group Paging allows you to page a group of telephones through their built-in speakers. You can belon g to as many as three pa g in g g roups with one g roup designated as your "prime" gr oup.
-20- Record a Call This feature uses your voice ma il system to record your phone conversations. Note: You may be required by law to in form the other party that you are recording the conversation. For specific instructions, co nsult your system administrator.
-21- Tag Call Tag Call allows you to "tag" any threat ening call that you re ceive. Using this tag, your system administ rator can identify the sour ce of the malicious call and provide this information to approp riate personel or authorities.
