2 W elcome Thank you for purchasing this Mio. Please read this manual carefully befor e using your Mio for the first time. Keep this manual in a safe place and use as your first point of refer ence. Impor tant inf ormation for using the manual It is important to understand the terms and typographical conventions used in this manual.

4 Accessories Y our device comes with the following accessories: Note: Depending on the specific model purchased, the colour and look of your device and accessories may not exactly match the graphics shown in this document.
5 CAUTION: For optimal performance of the lithium battery , note the following: • Do not charge the battery where the temperature is high (e.g. in direct sunlight). The battery will stop charging when the ambient temperatur e is less than -10ºC (14ºF) or more than 60ºC (140ºF).
6 Ins talling the device Follow the instructions in this section to mount the device and the cadence/ speed sensor kit (for selected models only) on y our bike.
7 2. Ensure that the magnets are aligned with the sensing ar ea on the sensors. 1 a c b d 3 2 3. When done, you can pair the sensor(s) with your device from Main menu > SETTINGS > ACCESSORIES > SENSORS .
8 4. When done, you can pair the monitor with your device from Main menu > SETTINGS > ACCESSORIES > SENSORS . • Select HEAR T RA TE > SCAN to pair the heart rate monitor with y our device. Information: The heart rate monitor contains a replaceable CR2032 battery .
9 System icons The system icons indicating the device's status ar e displayed at the bottom of the screen. Icon Description The GPS signal icon indicates the GPS status. The Timer icon will display when training is active. When you stop the timer, the icon will be flashing.
10 WORKOUT mode C ycling is a good aerobic fitness ex ercise that helps you to burn your calories, lose weight and increase your overall fitness. WORK OUT mode on the device allows you to set workouts by entering your conditions: distance, time, and speed.
11 Viewing the HIST ORY Y our device will save the history for your trainings and workouts. T o view the history data, select Main menu > HIST ORY . Information in the History data Select LIST ALL to display all of the recorded trainings and workouts.

15 F AC TO RY R ESE T This function allows you to r estore the device back to factory default status. W arning! The training data and user profile will be erased. GP S S ET T IN G • W AAS/EGNOS*: Y ou can disable or enable the WAAS/EGNOS function of the device.
16 Tip: Y ou can select ON/OFF to display/hide the Custom page 2/3/4 in the D ASHBOARD screens. • TIME: Select ON / OFF to display/hide the Time screen in the DASHBOARD scr eens. • MAP: Select ON / OFF to display/hide the Map screen in the DASHBOARD scr eens.

18 Managing data on the device The PC utility, Mio Share, allows you to register y our device, update softwares, share experience, and more. Connect your device to the computer using the USB cable, and then download the Mio Shar e desktop tool easily fr om http://mioshare.
19 About your heart rate monitor and accessories: • Clean with a mild soap and water solution, dry with towel. • Do not use alcohol or any abrasive material when cleaning the accessories. • Rinse the strap under running water . • Do not expose the accessories to extr eme heat or dir ect sunlight for prolonged periods.
20 IP X7 The IEC 60529/IP X7 is a European system of test specification standards for classifying the degrees of pr otection provided b y the enclosures of electrical equipment. An IP X7 designation means that the unit withstands immersion in one meter (approx 3ft) of still water for up to 30 minutes.
