4 5 The groun din g pro ng in the plug is conn ect ed through the green wire inside the cord to the grounding system in the tool. The green wire in the cord must be the only wire con- nected to the tool's grounding system and must never be attached to an electrically “live” terminal.
6 7 Grounded tools require a three wire exten- sion cord. Double insulated tools can use either a two or three wire extension cord. As the distance from the supply outlet increases, you must use a heavier gauge extension cord.
8 9 W ARNING T o reduce the risk of injury , wear safety goggles or glasses with side shields. Unplug the tool before changing accessories or making adjustments.
10 1 1 Shifting Speeds (Fig. 8) Cat. No. 1675-1 has a gear shift lever on the right side of the gear case. The high setting (1200 RPM HI) is the low torque setting and is designed for driving Selfeed bits 1-3/8" in diameter and smaller .

16 17 Outils mis à la terre : Outils pourvus d’une che de cordon à trois dents Les outils marqués « Mise à la terre requise » sont pourvus d’un cordon à trois ls dont la che a trois dents. La che du cordon doit être branchée sur une prise correctement mise à la terre (voir Fi gure A).
