W ar ning and sa fety instru ctions Please read the operatin g instruc- tions b efore usi ng the tumble dr yer for the first ti me. They contain im- por tant infor mat ion about the saf ety , use and maintenance of the machine. This will av oid the risk of acciden ts and damage to the ma- chine.
For safety reasons, do not use an ex- tension cable. There is a danger of overheating. Faulty compo nents must only be exchanged for Miele o riginal spare parts. Only when these parts are fitted can the saf ety standa rds of the ma- chine be guaranteed.
Using accessori e s Accesso ry part s may o nly be fit ted when expressly approved by Miele. If other par ts are used, guaran- tee, per for mance an d product liability claims may be invalidated. How to dry corr ectly Hints on saving energy Make sur e that your laundry has been thoroughly spun at t he highest appropriate spin speed before dry ing. Spinning a t 1600 rpm, for example, sa ves approxi mately 30% energy and time compared with 800 rpm.

Delay st art Once a programme has been se- lected, th e star t can be delayed from 30 minut es ( 30 ) up to 24 hours ( 24 h). Select a programme. Press the “Delay start” button re - peatedly until the requir ed time ap- pears in the display: –u p t o i0 h in 30 -minute stages.
Altering a programme Once a programme has star ted, no programme change or addit ional op- tions will be accepted. If the pr ogramme sel ector is turned to a dif ferent pr ogramme after a pr o- gramme has begun, the “Drying” indi- cator light will f lash.
Electr onic system lock The system lock preve nts anyone from interf ering with the dry er . T o a ctivate the system l ock 1 Ensur e that the door is closed and that the programme selecto r is turn ed to “Finish”. 2 T ur n the machine on. 3 Press the “Anti-crease” button and keep it pressed in w hile carr ying out steps 4 to 6 .
Programmable functions Notes The programmable functions can be used to c reate drying programmes to suit your individua l requir ement s. They will remain in the machine’ s memory until cancell ed. One or all of the programmable f unc- tions can be activated or ca ncelled.
Activating a nd storing in the memory The programmable function s are acti- vated using the additional option but- tons in spe cial combinations with the programme selector t o introduce extra feat ures not marked up on the control panel. 1 Switch the machine off and shu t the door .
Cleaning and c are Cleaning the fluff filters The fluff which i s created by the drying process is collected in the fluff filters in the door a nd door openin g. Clean the filters aft er eve ry p ro - gramme to reduce drying time and save energy . Open the door .
Emptying the condensed water container If the h ose drain ha s not been fi tted and connect ed, the con densed wate r will be collected in the condens ed water contain er . The condensed water cont ainer should be emptie d after eve ry dry ing cycle, or as s oon as the “Empty out container” indicator light comes on.
Cleaning the condenser unit The machine must be disconn ected from the electricity supply bef ore cleaning. The condens er unit should be clean ed at least fo ur times a year . Open the door . T urn the cover lock down wards to the ver tical posit ion.
Pull the condenser un it out. Clean the condenser unit at both ends (front and back). Wipe the r ubber seals at both ends gently but thoroughly . Clean th e two long si des of the uni t. Stand the c ondenser unit lengthwise on a to wel until it is quite dr y .
Problem solving guide What to do if ... Electrical appliances should only be repaired by qualified personnel. Incorrectly repaired ma- chines may pose a cons iderable risk to the user .

The interior drum lighting does not come on: changing the bulb Open the door . Before changing the bulb, di scon- nect the machin e from the mains power supply . Unscr ew the plast ic cover abo ve the door inside the drum. Replace the bulb. The light bulb must not exce ed the maximum wattage quoted on the data plat e and the light cove r .

Install ation The machine must be perf ectly leve l to ensure safe and proper operation. Minor differences do not, ho wever , have an adverse ef fect on ope ration. The screw feet can be adjus ted to compensate for an y uneveness in the floor sur face.
Installation The tumble dry er is s pecially desi gned for installa tion unde r a worktop. This appliance is fitted w ith a protec- tive coverpl ate which repl aces the machine l id. For reasons of electri- cal safety this cove rplate is neces s- ary and should not be removed.
Adjusting the adapter strips to the height of adjacent drawers The height of the adapt er can be ad- justed in one of two ways: – by alt ering the position of the nu ts or – by removing st rips. Adjustme nt range for the adapte r strips: max. 10 mm upwar ds (see ar- rows in the illustra tion).
Stick th e template d own with ad- hesive tape. There are t wo ways of fixing th e front panel: Option 1 Drill all the holes for the inner door panel to the given depths. On chip- board fr onts: fr ee holes (= dia. 10 mm), inject the silicone sealant supplied into the holes.
Option 2 Drill the numbered free holes an d screw points for the inner doo r panel to the given depth. On chipboard fronts: free holes ( = dia. 10 mm), inje ct the silicon e sealant sup- plied into the holes. Please note that some different holes ar e used for a left or right han d door .
Fitting the plinth facia – The appliance plinth below th e door can be concea led using a plinth facia. – The height and retur n of the ap- pliance plinth cannot be a ltered. – A taller plint h facia can only be in- stalled if t he overall niche height is higher .
External condensed water out- let The condensed water can be drained off directly if the machine is installed near a sink, drain outlet etc. Maximum drain hos e length: 3 .
The dr yer is fitted with a non -return valve as standard to prevent water f rom flowing back in to the mach ine. Close the w ater inlet port to the con- densed water container with the bot- tom par t of the rubber plug. The plug must face toward s the inte- rior of the machin e so that the con- densed wa ter containe r can be pushed in e asily .
