T o begin Micr osoft Po werP oint, g o to Macintosh HD > Applications > Micr osoft Ofce 2011 > Micr osoft P owerP oint (Figure 1). Select P ow erPoint Pr esentation from the Pr oject Galler y if a blank document does not open.

Micr osoft Po werP oint uses sev eral toolbars to allow you to modify y our document. When you rst open P owerP oint, usually the toolbars discussed below will open. How ev er , each computer ma y set up these toolbars differ ently , so they will usuall y look different than the toolbars belo w .

Pictures T o insert a picture into your pr esentation select Insert > Photo (Figure 10). Choose either to get the photo fr om a bro wser , or fr om a le and then locate the image that you want to put into y our document and click Insert. Figure 10.
