4 Power up y our computer and check to see if USB is implemented. Visual ly inspect the USB ports of your computer. If you cannot find the USB ports at the back of your computer (See Fig ure 1), read the documentati on that came with y our computer main board.
5 1. Installing PC Camera and PC Camera driv er Before installing Camera to your computer, make sure W indows starts up. Then follow the steps below: 1.
6 9. W hen you have finished the location sel ection, click “Nex t” to continue. 10. W indows w ill search f or your PC Camera device and driver location. 11. Click “Next”. W indows will copy Driver files into your system. 12. Click “Finish” to co mplete P C Camera d river installa tio n.
7 1. Insert Installatio n CD into your CD-ROM drive. 2. An Introduction screen w ill appear with a menu or CD contents. Note: If the inst aller scr een does not come up automat ically, click “St ar t ” , “Run”, and execute the f ile “ c dset up.
8 1. Click Start> Programs> ArcSoft VideoImpression 1.6> Ar cSoft VideoImpression 1.6. 2. The introduction screen will appear w ith a menu of sof tware contents. 3. Click “ New. ” 4. Select “Captur e” . The window shows a Liv e preview as seen from the PC Camera .

10 You can create mov ies by placing i mage and movie fil es onto the Storyboard from v arious Albums. To create a movi e, do the following : 1. Click on the New icon from the Main Screen. This will take you to the Album Screen. 2. Use the options on the Album Screen to constr uct your mov ie.
11 The Storyboard show s you each step or part of the movie that y ou are creating. NOTE: You can add a thumbnail to your Stor yboard by drag- n-drop, or by highli ghting a thumbnail and cli cking on the Add To Story board icon. Text - Is highl ighted if there is tex t added to the respective thumbnail.
12 To edit still images, double click on the review window in “Still Image T empla te” Play Movie - Takes you back to the View Screen where y ou can play, sav e, and email y our movie. Transitions - Takes you to the Transitions Screen (See “ Options on the Story board ” ).
13 1. From the Edit Screen, select the v ideo frame you w ant to print. 2. Right-cl ick the video and sel ect “Print.” 1. Click on Sav e on the Main Screen. 2. In the Sav e As window , select the drive and folder that y ou want to sav e the movie to.
14 1. Click Start. 2. Select Progr ams>Arc Soft PhotoImpression>PhotoImpressi on 3.0. The PhotoImpression Mai n Screen will appear on y our desktop. Options on the Main Screen: - Opens images from an album, a disk dr ive ( From Folder) . Or from photo-shari ng websi te (Online Ser vice) .
15 - Rotates the imag e at the user’s discreti on. - Appl ies a mirror effect to your image by flipping it. - Rotates the imag e in 90-degr ee increments. - C ancels the last unsaved chang e you’ve made. - Rev erses the last action y ou’ve undone.
16 You can open an imag e that is stored on y our hard driv e, f loppy disk, C D-ROM , etc. 1. Click the Get Photo button on the Main Scr een, and select From Folder. 2. Click Browse. A Browse for Folder dialog w ill appear. 3. Navig ate to the folder that you w ish to view .
17 Photo albums allow easy identi fication and access to images for vi ewing , editing, pr inting, etc. Simply click on the Get Photo button on the Main Scr een, and select Album to vi ew the album options. I t is i mportant to reme mber t hat alb ums do not stor e image s.

21 PhotoImpression prov ides four different printing opti ons: • Standard Printi ng: prints one imag e per page. Y ou can add a title, center the imag e and title, change the paper orientation, add a frame (a bl ack outline) around the i mage, resiz e the image, and select the number of copies (W indow s only) that you w ant printed.
