99-8156 D ASH DIS ASSEMBL Y LEXUS LS SERIES 1990-1994 1 D isconnect the negative battery ter- minal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Carefully pry out and remove ashtray assembly below radio . ( Figure A) 2 Using a panel remov al tool or small flat blade screwdriver gently pry out on the top of the A/C vent assembly and remove .
99-8156 KIT PREP AR A TION 2 Attach the corresponding radio hous- ing bracket to the r adio housing using the included Phillips screws. (Figure A) 1 Slide the factory climate control into the assembled radio housing brack- ets/radio housing assembly and secur e with the factory hardware .
99-8156 KIT ASSEMBL Y 3 Slide the DIN cage into the Radio Housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs down. (Figure A) 1 Slide the aftermarket radio into the cage until it snaps in place .
99-8156 KIT ASSEMBL Y 4 Mount the ISO Brackets to the r adio using the screws supplied with the radio . (Figure A) 1 Snap the T rim plate onto the front of the Radio Housing. (Figure B) 3 Slide the radio into the radio housing until the side clips engage .
