99-7870 1 Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip and remove entire panel sur- rounding radio and a/c control all the way o ver to left side of steering wheel. 99-7870 KIT ASSEMBL Y Attach the corresponding radio hous- ing bracket to the r adio housing using the included carriage bolts and kep nuts. (Figure A) 1 Position the factor y pocket into the assembled radio housing assembly and secure with the factory hard- w ar e .
3 99-7870 KIT ASSEMBL Y Slide the DIN cage into the Radio Housing and secure b y bending the metal locking tabs down. (Figure A) 1 Slide the aftermarket head unit into the cage and secure .
99-7870 KIT ASSEMBL Y Mount the ISO Brackets to the head unit with the screws supplied with the unit. (Figure A) 1 Slide the head unit into the radio opening until the side clips engage .
5 FINAL ASSEMBL Y 1 Locate the factor y wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
