99-7008 D ASH DIS ASSEMBL Y Disconnect the negative batter y terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Remove all (3) climate control knobs. (Figure A) 2 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER 2003-2006 Remove (2) Phillips head screws from behind the (2) outside climate control knobs.
2 Slide the DIN cage (supplied with radio) into the Radio Housing from the front. (Figure A) 1 A Slide the radio into the DIN cage until it snaps into place . (Figure C) 3 DIN MOUNT R ADIO PRO VISION WITH POCKET B 99-7008 KIT ASSEMBL Y Secure DIN cage to radio housing b y bending the locking tabs outw ard.
3 Align the holes in the ISO brackets with the holes in the radio . Mount the brackets to the r adio using screws supplied with the radio . (Figure A) 1 A B Slide the r adio/brac ket assembly into the radio housing until it snaps into place . (Figure B) 2 Snap the ISO trim-plate onto the front of the assembled radio and housing .
4 FINAL A SSEMBL Y 1 Locate the factor y wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections as shown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
