6 INST ALLA TION Unravel the AC cord and connect it to a conveniently located AC outlet having 120V and 60Hz only. The Clock Display will illuminate and “12:00” will blink in the window. NOTE: If the AC plug does not fit into a nonpolarized outlet, do not file or cut the wide blade.
7 OPERA TION Slide the ON/OFF/AUTO/BUZZ switch ❶ to the ON position to turn the unit on. Slide the AM/FM switch ❷ to the AM or FM position. 1 2 1 Tune a station by turning the TUNING control ❶ . Adjust the VOLUME control ❷ as desired. 1 2 2 TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO Antennas FM: Extend the FM antenna wire for best reception.
8 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Press and hold the ALARM SET/AL. OFF button. 1 While holding the ALARM SET/AL. OFF button ❶ , press the HOUR button ❷ to set the desired alarm hour and the MIN button ❸ to set the desired alarm minute. 3 1 2 2 TO SET OR RESET THE ALARM TIME Set the alarm time as previously instructed.
9 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Set the alarm time as previously instructed. Slide the ON/OFF/AUTO/ BUZZ switch to the BUZZ position. When the actual time matches the selected preset alarm time, the unit automatically turns on. To shut off the alarm, see TO SHUT THE ALARM OFF section below.
10 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Tune the desired radio station as previously instructed. Slide the ON/OFF/AUTO/BUZZ switch to the OFF OR AUTO position. 1 Press the SLEEP button and “59” will appear on the clock display, then release the button. The unit will turn on for 59 minutes and then turn off.
