5 POWER SOURCES This unit is designed to operate on AC household current or DC (batteries). AC : Use the AC polarized line cord included with the unit for operation on AC power.
6 Press the POWER button ❶ to turn the unit on. Press the FUNCTION button ❷ until radio is selected. 2 1 1 Press the TUNING buttons to select a station as described below. 3 TUNING: MANUAL TUNING: Repeatedly press the TUNING buttons to manually advance the frequency in the display up or down until the desired frequency appears.

Press the FUNCTION button ❷ until CD is selected. 2 1 1 Adjust the VOLUME ❶ and EQ buttons ❷ as desired. 1 1 2 4 The CD player will read the table of contents on the disc and the total number of tracks and total playing time on the disc will appear in the display.
8 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) After you insert the disc into the CD player and the total number of tracks appear on the display, you may press either the Skip/Search ( ) ❶ or () ❷ button to select a specific track for playback. 1 2 1 When the desired track number appears in the display, press the Play/Pause ( ❿ ) button.
9 NOTES: • Programming is the ability to preselect the order in which a series of tracks will be played. • Each track may be stored in the program memory as many times as desired (up to 20 tracks). • As each track is played, its track number will be displayed.
10 Caring for Compact Discs • Treat the compact disc carefully. Handle the compact disc only by its edges. Never allow your fi ngers to come in contact with the shiny, unprinted side of the compact disc. • Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc.
