6 INST ALLA TION Unravel the AC cord and connect it to a conveniently located AC outlet having 120V and 60Hz only. The Clock Display will illuminate and “12:00” will blink in the window. NOTE: If the AC plug does not fit into a nonpolarized outlet, do not file or cut the wide blade.
7 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Press the POWER button ❶ to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch ❷ to the AM or FM position. 2 1 1 Tune a station by turning the TUNING control ❶ . When a strong FM stereo signal is received the FM Stereo indicator will light.
8 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Insert a CD as described on the previous page. Press the POWER button ❶ to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch ❷ to the CD position. 2 1 1 Press the PLAY/PAUSE ( ) button to start playback.
9 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Press the POWER button ❶ to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch ❷ to the CD position.
10 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Press the POWER button ❶ to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. Slide the FUNCTION switch ❷ to the CD position. Press the PROGRAM button ❸ once; “P 01:” will appear in the display and the PROGRAM indicator will blink.
11 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) TO SET OR RESET THE ACTUAL TIME Press and hold the desired ALARM button (AL1 or AL2); the alarm time will blink in the display.
12 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Set the alarm time as previously instructed. Slide the FUNCTION switch ❶ to the AM or FM position, select a radio station and make sure the VOLUME ❷ is set as desired. 2 1 1 Slide the Alarm switch ❶ to the AL1, AL2 or 1+2 position and the ALARM MODE switch ❷ to the AUTO position and make sure the power is off.
13 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Set the alarm time as previously instructed. Slide the Alarm switch to the AL1, AL2 or 1+2 position. 1 Slide the ALARM MODE switch to the BUZZER position and make sure the power is off. When the actual time matches the selected preset alarm time(s), the unit automatically turns on.
14 OPERA TION (CONTINUED) Tune the desired radio station or insert a CD as previously instructed and press the POWER button to turn the unit on; the POWER indicator will light. 1 P ress the SLEEP button and “--” will appear on the clock display, then release the button.
15 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Caring for Compact Discs • Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your fi ngers to come in contact with the shiny, unprinted side of the disc. • Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc.
