3 Location Requirements Y ou will need ■ A location that allows proper exhaust installation. See “V enting Requirements.” ■ A separate 30-amp circuit. ■ If using a power supply cord, a grounded electrical outlet within 2 ft (6 10 mm) of either side of dryer .
4 ELECTRIC DR YER POWER HOOKUP Electrical Requirements It is your r esponsi b ility ■ T o contact a qualified electrical installer . ■ T o be sure that the electrical connection is adequate and in conformance with the National E lectrical Code, ANSI/NFP A 70- latest edition and all loca l codes and ordinances.
5 Electrical Connection W ARNIN G Fire Hazar d Use a new UL listed 30 amp power supply cord. Use a UL listed strain relief. Disconnect power b efore making electrical connections. Connect neutral wire (white or center wir e) to center terminal (silver).

Strain relief threads ■ Put direct wire cable thr ough strain relief. Strain r elief should have a tight fit with drye r cabinet and be in a horizontal position.

8 4. Place the hooked ends of the othe r direct wire cable wir es under the outer termin al block screws (hooks facing right). Squeeze hooked ends together . Tighten screws. 5. Tighten strain relief scr ew . 6. Insert tab of terminal block cover into slot of dryer rear panel.

10 VE N T I N G V enting Requirements W ARNIN G Fire Hazar d Use a heavy metal vent. Do not use a plastic vent. Do not use a metal foil vent. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or re. WARNING: T o reduce the risk of fire, this dryer MUST BE EXHAUSTED OUTDOORS.

12 Determine vent path ■ Select the route that will provide the straightest a nd most direct path outdoors. ■ Plan the in stallation t o use th e fewest number of elbows and turns. ■ When using elbows or m aking tur ns, allow as much r oom as possible.
13 4. Using pliers, tighten the coupling s with an additional two-thirds turn . NOTE: Do not overtighten. Damage to the coupling can result. 5. Attach “Y” connector to brass male end of small hose. Screw on coupling by hand until it is seated on connector .
14 All Models: 13. Select a Timed Dry heated cycle, an d start the dryer . Do not select the Air Only T emperatur e setting. If the dryer will not start, check the following: ■ Controls are set in a running or “On” position. ■ Start butt on has be en pushed firmly .
15 3. Remove the 4 screws from the opposite side of the door . 4. Install the 2 hinges to the front panel of the dryer using 4 screws. Use the non-slotted side to attach the hinge to the fr ont panel. 5. Instal l screws in top hinge holes in the door .
