8 W ARNING Fire Hazar d Use 10 gauge solid copper wire. Use a UL listed strain relief. Disconnect power before making electrical connections. Connect neutral wire (white or center wire) to center terminal (silver). Ground wire (green or bare wire) must be connected to green ground connector.
9 Put power supply cord thr ough strain relief. Be sur e that wire insulation on power cord is inside strain r elief. Strain relief should be a tight t with dryer cabinet and be in a horizontal position. Do not tighten strain relief scr ews at this point.
10 12. Connect neutral wire Connect neutral wire (white or center wir e) (C) of power supply cord to center , silver -colored terminal block screw (B). Tighten screw . 13. Connect remaining wir es 3-WIRE POWER SUPPL Y CORD CONNECTION Use where local codes permit connecting cabinet-gr ound conductor to neutral wire.
11 4-WIRE DIRECT WIRE CONNECTION Prepar e your 4-wire cable for dir ect connection: IMPORT ANT : A 4-wir e connection is required for mobile homes and where local codes do not permit 3-wir e connections. 18. 16 CONNECT INLET HOSE The dryer must be connected to the cold water faucet using the new inlet hoses. Do not use old hoses. T urn cold water off, r emove and replace rubber washer 33. T ur n cold water faucet off and r emove washer inlet hose. Check and see if rubber washer is in the “Y” connector .
17 Tighten couplings 35. Using pliers, tighten the couplings with additional two-thirds turn. NOTE: Do not overtighten. Damage to the coupling can result. Attach long hose to dryer ll valve and tighten coupling 37. Attach other end of long hose to ll valve at bottom of dryer back panel.
