3 Installation Dimensions NOTE: The grounded 3 prong outlet must be inside the upper cabinet. See “Electrical Requir ements” section. * 30" (76.2 cm) is typical for 66" (167.6 cm) install ation height. Exact dimensions may vary depend ing on type of range/cooktop below .
4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Remov e Mounting Plate Depending on your model, the moun ting plate may be in the foam packaging, or it may be attached to the back of the micr owave oven. NOTE: T o avoid possible damage to the work surface, cover the work surface.

6 Locate W all Stud(s) NOTE: If no wall studs exist within the cabin et opening, do not install the microwave oven. See illustrat ions in “Possible W all Stud Configuratio ns.” 1. Using a stud finder , locate the ed ges of the wa ll stud(s) with in the opening.
7 Mark Rear W all The microwave oven must be inst alled on a minimum of 1 wall stud, preferably 2 , using a minimum of 1 lag screw , preferably 2. 1. Using measuring tape, find an d clearly mark the vertical centerlin e of the open ing. A. Centerline 2.
8 Installation for W all Stud at One End Hole (Figure 3) 1. Drill a 3/16" (5 mm) hole into the wall stud at th e end hole marked in Step 3 of “Mark Rear W all.” 2. If installing on a second wall stud, drill a 3/16" (5 mm) hole in to the wall stud at the other hole marked in Step 6 of “Mark Rear W all.
9 5. Cut the 1 ¹⁄₂ " (3.8 cm) diameter hole at the circu lar shaded area “G” on the template. This hole is for the power supply cor d. NOTE: If upper cabinet is metal, the supply cord bushing needs to be installed ar ound the supply cor d hole, as shown.
10 NOTE: If microwave ove n does not need to be adjusted, skip steps 7-9. 7. If adjustment is requir ed, ro tate micr owave oven downward. Using 2 or more people, lift microwave oven off of mounting plate, and set aside on a cover e d surface. 8. Loosen mounting plate screws.
11 V ENTING DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS This section is intended for ar chitectural designer and builder/ contractor reference onl y . NOTES: ■ V ent materials needed for instal lation are not pr ovided with microwave h ood combination. ■ W e do not recommend using a flexible metal vent.
