1 Overview ECR500 ExpressCard C ard Reader allows users to in stall and op erate the flash card reader easily. It is able to s upport up to 480 Mbps USB 2.0 High Speed data transf erring rate with the h ost PC wh en read /write on flash m emory cards.
2 Hardware Installat ion This chapter describes h ow to install the ECR 500 Express Card to your computer. When you connect the ECR500 card to the PCI-Express Slot, the PC Card has the ability of automatic sensin g and operating on either s peed without manual reconfig uration.
3 Setup Diagnostics To verify if the d evice exis ts in your computer and is enabled , go to Start Control Panel System Hardware Device Manager . If the USB Mass Storag e Device is found in Universal Serial Controller s, it means that your d evice is prop erly in stalled and enabled.
4 After y ou insert the m emory card into ECR500 card slot, you can open My Computer or Exp lorer, and doub le click the rem o vable disk to access the data within th e m emory card.
5 Removing the ExpressCard Before ejecting t he ECR5 00 ExpressCard from th e PC ExpressCard slot, to click the “ Safely Rem ove Hardw a re ” utili ty to stop it. “Safely Rem ove Hardware” icon is located in the task bar. Click the icon, and then click the “ Safely remove USB Sto rage Device “ to s top th e card.
