2 Loading Before Y ou Start • Don’t Prerinse. Simply scrape off any bones or large f ood particles. • If connected to a food waste disposer , make certain the disposer is empty bef ore starting the dishwasher . • Scrape off tomato-based f ood soils (see page 8).
3 Lower Rack A v ariety of large items such as dinner plates, mixing bowls, pots and pans and baking dishes can be loaded in this rack. 3 saucers are loaded on the rack under the Stack-Rack Shelf W ith the Stack-Rack shelf raised, thin items like cookie sheets or pizza pans may be placed along the left side.
Removing the Upper Rack The upper rack can be remov ed when tall or ov ersized items need to be loaded into the lo wer rack. Note: A void resting items o ver the center wash to wer . T o remove: • Roll the upper rack 1/3 to 1/2 of the way out. • Remove the plastic rack stop from the end of each track.
5 Dishwashing Essentials Hot W ater F or optimal cleaning and drying results, hot water is necessary . The incoming water temperatur e should be 120–140º F (49-60° C) to pr operly acti- vate the detergent and melt gr easy food soils.
6 Auto Clean Controls at a Glance Cycles Options Select T ough Scrub ™ Plus when washing loads with hard-to-remov e food soils. T ough Scrub ™ Plus can be selected with any cycle (except Rinse Only ). Depending on which cycle is being used, selecting T ough Scrub ™ Plus adds fills, heat and/or wash time to the wash c ycle.
Control Lock Option The control touchpads can be locked to pre vent unw anted use. If this feature is acti vated between c ycles, the dish- washer cannot be operated until the controls are unlocked. If desired, the controls can be locked after a c ycle or delay has started.
8 Special Care Items Care and Cleaning Interior The dishwasher interior is normally self-cleaning. Periodically check the bottom of the dishwasher tub to see if an y large par- ticles hav e not gone through the strainer portion of the module. W ipe the edge of the inner door liner to remove any food soil splashes which occurred during loading.
