3 Remove plastic overwrap , banding and corrugatio n packaging. The wooden s kid is removed by unscrewing 6-8 hex head screws holding the skid. Gl ass Door Models: R emove glass door support bracket(s) and protective foam block(s). All merchandisers are tes ted, inspected and careful ly packaged to ensure ea ch unit arrives read y for operation.
4 The merchandiser must b e plugged into a 115 volt , 60 HZ grounded recepta cle electrical outlet with a circuit fuse or breaker. (S ee figure 1). The condensing unit data pl ate will indi cate the maximum fuse/breaker size. DO NOT use ex tension cords.
5 3. Loading Ice: After merchandiser is op erating at required temp erature, load with packaged ice. Stacked packaged ice should not exceed heights that wil l cause poor refrigeration efficienc y. Approximatel y 6" needs to be clear from top of st acked ice to top of ins ide interior for effective refrigerated i ce storage.
6 3. Electrical: Inspect each month all power harnesses for an y cracks, abrasions or dama ge to connection plugs. Replace an y defective wiring or harnesses. 4. Door(s): Inspect each mo nth for component wear, function and secure attac hment. A. Gasket(s) should be ex amined for tears or an y other problems that would cause loss of se al.
7 5. Cleaning: Schedule yearly cleaning of merchandiser interior with sol ution of 8 tablespoons of bakin g soda to 1 gallon of warm water. DO NOT use strong deter gents, abrasive cleansers, solvents, wax or polish as the y are likely to leave objectionable od ors which ma y be absorbed by the ice.
