XLR connectors are widely used with profes- sional equipment because of the f ollowing f eatures . • Incoming music signals are balanced, theref ore the y are little aff ected by e xternal noise.

For the FCBS connection, prepare 3 portable audio connection cables with monaural ⇔ monaur al miniplugs or stereo ⇔ stereo miniplugs as described “ ABOUT FCBS ” on pg.

When pressed, power is activ ated and the b lue indicator on the display w lights up . Approximately 8 seconds after pow er is activated, audio output is enab led.

When output is ON, the center of the button is lit a b lue color . !2 REC OUT Button This button turns the signals output from the RECORDER 1 and 2 OUT jacks on the rear panel ON and OFF .

The operations possib le b y remote control may diff er with each component, therefore see the instruction manual that came with the component.

16 ENGLISH ENGLISH RECORDING This e xample e xplains how to record from an input source such as an Super A udio CD play er to a recording de vice such as a CD-R. 1. Press the pow er ON/OFF switch of the Super A udio CD pla yer and CD-R to activ ate po wer to both components.
17 ENGLISH ENGLISH HO W T O USE AND SET FEA TURES ABOUT FCBS FCBS is shor t f or Floating Control Bus System. It is a communication system that connects up to f our PM-11S1s ov er a dedicated bus line so as to enab le synchroniz ed operations amongst them via 2-w ay data comm unications.
18 ENGLISH ENGLISH ATTENU A TION (A TT) Attenuation is a one-touch f eature f or reducing v olume le vel. When the A TT button on either the PM-11S1 or the remote controller is pressed, the v olume lev el is attenuated.
19 ENGLISH ENGLISH TRIMMING There are three trimming modes. • LEVEL trimming that adjusts the volume le v el on left and right channels • BASS trimming that adjusts the bass on left and r ight channels • TREBLE trimming that adjusts the treble on left and right channels Note T rimming is performed from the remote controller .
20 ENGLISH ENGLISH 7 7 7 7 7 How to T rim Bass The bass le vel of the left and right channels can be trimmed in 2 dB steps across a -8.0 - +8.0 dB range .
21 ENGLISH ENGLISH HO W T O ADJUST DISPLA Y CONTRAST An LCD is used as the PM-11S1 ’ s displa y . Y ou can set the contrast in the +8 - -8 range . When the PM-11S1 is shipped from the f actor y , the contrast lev el is set to 0.
22 ENGLISH ENGLISH If you e xperience trouble with the PM-11S1, mak e the belo w checks bef ore thinking the w orst. Improper operation can cause the PM-11S1 to behav e in a w a y that makes y ou think something is wrong with the equipment when actually not.
23 ENGLISH ENGLISH 7 7 7 7 7 Err or Messages When multiple PM-11S1s are connected b y FCBS, the belo w error messages ma y appear on the displa y . In these cases, there is a problem with the ID n umber setting or remote cable connection. Check the ID numbers and remote cab le as indicated in the below tab le.
