10 T o mee t the appl icable safe ty prov isions, only the tool / prote ctor combin ations as indicated in the table must be used. Be sure to u se ge nuine MAKIT A cutter blad es or nylon c uttin g hea d. – The cu tter bl ade m ust be we ll poli shed , fre e of crac ks or bre akage .
11 Turn t he m achin e upsi de do wn, and you can repla ce th e cu tter bl ade or t he nylon cutting head easily . – Insert the hex wrench thr ough the hole in the gear case and rotate t he receiver washer (3) until it is locked with the hex wrench.
12 Handling f uel Utmost care is requi red w hen han dling fuel . Fuel may contai n sub stanc es similar to solvents. Refuel either in a wel l ventilate d room or outdoors . Do not inhale fuel vap ors, avoid any conta ct of fuel or oil with your skin.
13 CORRECT HANDLING OF MA CHINE Attachment of shoulder strap – Adju st the strap le ngth so th at the cutter blade will be kep t paral lel with the ground. Detachment – In an em ergen cy , push the no tche s (1) at both sides, and you can de tach the machine from you.
14 ST OPPING – Relea se th e thro ttl e leve r (6) full y , and wh en th e engine rpm ha s low ered , push the I-O swi tch (1) to “ O ” 㩷 position the engine wil l now stop. – Be awar e that th e cut ting head may not stop immed iately and allow it to sl ow down fully .
15 NYLON C UTTING HEAD The nylon cutting head is a dual string trimmer head c apable of both automatic and bump & feed mechanisms. The nylo n cutting head wil l auto matical ly feed o ut the proper l ength of nylon cord by the changes in cen trifugal force caused by increasin g or decreasing rpms.
