3 Genera l Instru ctions – T o ensure correct oper ation, user has to read this i nstruction manua l to ma ke himself fa miliar w ith the handling of the str ing trim mer . Us ers insufficient ly inform ed wil l risk da nger t o them selves as wel l as othe rs due to im proper handling.
4 Start the string trimme r only in acc ordance with the ins tructio ns. Do not use any other methods for startin g the engine! – Use the str ing trimm er and the too ls only f or such appl ications as specifie d. – Only start the string t rimmer eng ine, after the entire asse mbly is do ne.
5 Meth od of ope ratio n – Only use the string trim mer in good lighting and visibility . During th e winter season beware of slippe ry or wet areas, ice and snow (risk of slipping). Always ensure a sa fe foot ing. – Never cut above the waist height.

8 C A U T I ON : Before doing any work on the string trimmer , always switch off the engi ne and pull the spark p lug connect or off th e spark plu g. Always wear prote ctive gloves. C AU T IO N : S tart the string trimmer only after having assembled it completely .
9 Handling fuel Utmost care is required when handling fuel. Fuel may contain substances similar to solvents. Refuel either in a well-ventilated room or outdoors. Do not inha le fuel vapors; avoid any contact of fuel or oil with your skin. Mineral oil products degrease your skin.
10 Observe the applicable accident prevention regulations! Starting Move at least 3m away from the p lace of refuelling. Place the String trimmer on a clean piece of ground taking c are that the cu t ting tool does no t come into contact with the ground or any other objects.
11 STOPPING – Releas e the throttl e lever fully , and whe n the engine rp m has lower ed, push the I-O switch (1) to “ O ” position t he engine will n ow stop. – Be awar e that the c utting head may not st op immed iately and allow it to slow down fully .
12 Replaci ng the nyl on cord – First, stop the engine. – Press o n the hous ing latches inward to lift of f the co ver , then remove the spool. – Hook th e center of new nylon cord int o the not ch in the cent er of the spool, with one end of the co rd exten ding about 8 0mm (3-1 /8") more th an the othe r .
13 C A U T I ON : Before do ing any work on the string tri mmer , always swi tch off the engine a nd pull the plug cap off th e spark plug (see “ check- ing the spar k plug ” ).
14 Suctio n head in the fue l tank – The felt fill er (1) of the sucti on head is used to filler the fuel required by the carburetor. – A period ical visual i nspection of the felt fil ter is to be conducted. For that purpose open the tank ca p, use a wir e hook and pull o ut the suc tion he ad through the tan k opening.
15 STORA GE – When the machine is in storage for a long t ime, drain fuel fro m the fuel tank and carb uretor, as follows : Drain all fu el from th e fuel tank. Disp ose of properly and in accorda nce with all local laws. – Remove t he spark plu g and a few dro ps of oil in to the spark plug hole.
16 EMISSON COMPLIANCE PERIOD For handheld engine : The Emissions Compliance Period referred to on the Emissions Compliance label indicates the number of operating hours for which the engine has been shown to meet Federal emission requirements. Category C=50 hours, B=125 hours, and A=300 hours.

26 Manipulation du carburant: La manipulation du carburant exige un soin extrême. Le carburant peut contenir des substances similaires aux solvants. Procéder au ravitaillement dans une pièce bien aérée ou à l'extérieur. Ne pas respirer de vapeurs de carburant, éviter tout contact cutané avec le carburant ou l'huile.

40 㩷 Manipulación del combustible La máxima atención se requiere cuando se manipule el combustible. El combustible puede contener sustancias similares a los disolventes. Reponer combustible en una habitación bien ventilada o en el exterior, No inhalar vapores de combustible, evitar el contacto del combustible o del aceite con su piel.

42 Paro – Soltar la palanca de conrol completamente y cuando las revoluciones del motor desciendan, apretar el interruptor I-O a la posición O. El motor paradá. – Tome nota de que el cabezal de corte no parará inmediatamente sino que lo hará de forma lenta y progresiva.
43 Sustituc i ó n del cabezal de Nylon – Primero, p arar el motor . – Apretar los pestillo s de la c aja haci a el interior para lev antar la tapa; qu itar el carret e.
44 Limpieza del filtro de aire El estorbar del elem ento (1) puede a veces hacerlo difícil o impo sible encender para arriba el motor o de aumentar la velocidad del motor. Después del final de la operación, se a seguro limpiar el filtro de aire según lo mencionado abajo.
45 Cabezal de succión en el tanque de combustible – El fitro de fietro (1) del cabezal de succión se utiliza para filtrar el combustible requerido por el carburador.
46 – Cuando se guarde la máquina durante un período largo de tiempo, extraer todo el combustible del tanque y del carburador. Desechar el combustible de acuerdo con la normativa local. – Quitar la bujia y echar unas gotas de aceite en el agujero de la bujia.
