6 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged bef ore adjusting or checking function on the tool. Switch action CA UTION: • Bef ore plugging in the tool, always chec k to see that the s witch tr igger actuates properly and retur ns to the “ OFF ” position when released.
7 To r q u e l i m i t e r The torque limiter will actuate when a cer tain torque lev el is reached. The motor will disengage from the output shaft. When this happens, the bit will stop turning. CA UTION: • As soon as the torque limiter actuates, s witch off the tool immediately .
8 Inser t the bit into the tool. T urn the bit and push it in until it engages. If the bit cannot be pushed in, remov e the bit. Pull the chuck cov er down a couple of times. Then insert the bit again. T urn the bit and push it in until it engages. After installing, alwa ys make sure that the bit is securely held in place by trying to pull it out.
9 Inser t fir mly the hose of the dust e xtractor attachment into the hose por t of the tool until the hose hits against the bottom of the por t to be fixed firmly to the tool. Installing dust bag K eeping the angle of the dust bag with the tool at 90 ° , inser t the dust bag into the dust e xhaust por t of the tool.
10 Depth adjustment Loosen the screw of the stopper b y tur ning it counterclock- wise so that the stopper could slide on the depth gauge of the dust e xtractor attachment. Slide the stopper to the desired drilling depth of the gauge, and then tighten the screw b y tur ning it clockwise .
11 Hammer drilling operation Set the action mode changing knob to the symbol. P osition the bit at the desired location f or the hole, then pull the s witch tr igger . Do not force the tool. Light pressure giv es best results. K eep the tool in position and pre vent it from slip- ping aw ay from the hole.
12 CA UTION: • Ne ver use “ rotation with hammering ” when the drill chuck assemb ly is installed on the tool. The dr ill chuck assembly ma y be damaged. Also , the drill chuck will come off when re versing the tool. • Pressing e xcessively on the tool will not speed up the drilling.
