13 Adjusting depth of cut CA UTION: • After adjusting the depth of cut, alwa ys tighten the lev er securely . Loosen the le ver on the side of the rear handle and mov e the base up or down. At the desired depth of cut, secure the base by tightening the le ve r.
14 Switch action CA UTION: • Bef ore inser ting the batter y car tridge into the tool, alwa ys check to see that the s witch trigger actuates properly and retur ns to the “ OFF ” position when released. T o prev ent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off b utton is provided.
15 T o install the blade, f ollow the remov al procedure in rev erse. BE SURE T O TIGHTEN THE HEX BOL T CLOCKWISE SECUREL Y . When changing blade , make sure to also clean upper and lower b lade guards of accumulated sawdust. Such eff or ts do not, howe v er, replace the need to chec k lower guard oper a- tion befo re each use.
16 Hold the tool firmly . The tool is provided with both a front grip and rear handle. Use both to best gr asp the tool. If both hands are holding saw , they cannot be cut b y the blade. Set the base on the workpiece to be cut without the blade making any contact.
