4 USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD: Mak e sure your e xtension cord is in good condition. When using an e xtension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carr y the current y our product will draw . An undersized cord will cause a drop in line v oltage resulting in loss of power and o verheating.

6 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged bef ore adjusting or checking function on the tool. Shaft lock CA UTION: • Ne ver actuate the shaft lock when the spindle is mo ving. The tool ma y be damaged.
7 Speed adjusting dial The rotating speed can be changed by turning the speed adjusting dial to a given n umber setting from 1 to 5. Higher speed is obtained when the dial is turned in the direc- tion of number 5. And low er speed is obtained when it is turned in the direction of number 1.
8 Installing side grip (handle) CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the side grip is installed securely bef ore operation. Screw the side grip securely on the position of the tool as shown in the figure.
9 Loosen the le ver on the wheel guard. Mount the wheel guard with the protrusion on the wheel guard band aligned with the notch on the bearing box. Then rotate the wheel guard around 180 degrees.
10 Installing or removing abrasive disc (optional accessory) NO TE: • Use sander accessories specified in this manual. These must be purchased separately . Mount the rubber pad onto the spindle. Fit the disc on the rubber pad and screw the loc k nut onto the spindle.
11 Grinding and sanding operation (optional accessory) AL W A YS hold the tool fir mly with one hand on housing and the other on the side handle. T ur n the tool on and then apply the wheel or disc to the workpiece. In general, keep the edge of the wheel or disc at an angle of about 15 degrees to the workpiece surf ace.
12 Unplug tool and place it upside down allowing easy access to spindle. Remo ve any accessories on spindle. Thread wire wheel brush onto spindle and tighten with the wrenches. When using wire wheel brush, av oid applying too much pres- sure which causes ov er bending of wires, leading to prema- ture breakage.
