Use c lamps or a vise to hold work when practical. It’ s safer than using your hand and it frees both hands to operate tool.
4 USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD . Make sure y our extension cord is in good condition. When using an e xtension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carr y the current y our product will draw . An undersized cord will cause a drop in line v oltage resulting in loss of power and o verheating.

6 INST ALLA TION Securing cut-off This tool should be bolted with two bolts to a le vel and stab le surf ace using the bolt holes provided in the tool’ s base.
7 Stopper plate The stopper plate pre vents the cut-off wheel from contacting the workbench or floor . When a new wheel is installed, set the stopper plate to position (A).
8 ASSEMBL Y CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged befo re carr ying out any work on the tool. Removing or installing cut-off wheel T o remove the wheel, r aise the safety guard.
9 When the cut-off wheel has worn down considerab ly , use a spacer bloc k of sturdy , non-flammable material behind the workpiece as shown in the figure . Y ou can more efficiently utilize the worn wheel by using the mid point on the periphery of the wheel to cut the workpiece.
10 OPERA TION Hold the handle fir mly . Switch on the tool and w ait until the wheel attains full speed befo re lowering gently into the cut. When the wheel contacts the workpiece, gr adually bear down on the handle to perf or m the cut.
11 MAINTENANCE CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged bef ore attempting to perform inspection or maintenance. Replacing carbon brushes Remov e and check the carbon brushes regularly . Replace when they we ar down to the limit mark.
