Big Knob provides a control room matrix and the basic features of an expensive mixer , but tailored for the requirements of your DA W (Digital Audio W orkstation) environment.

8 BIG KNOB BIG KNOB DIM Pressing this button turns down the signal going to the MONITOR A, B, and C outputs by 20 dB. This lets you turn down the speakers to converse with- out affecting the speaker level you have set. Note: Like the Big Knob VOLUME control, the MONO, MUTE, and DIM buttons ONL Y af fect the MONITOR A, B, and C outputs.
9 Opera tion Guide Oper ation Guide When the button is down (PHONES MIX INPUT), the STUDIO/PHONES outputs are fed the signal from the DA W PHONES MIX INPUT jacks on the rear panel.
10 BIG KNOB BIG KNOB 2-TRACK A Level Switch This two-position switch sets the input level of the 2-TRACK A inputs to either +4 dB (balanced input) or –10 dB (unbalanced input). Use the +4 dB setting for professional equipment operating at the +4 dBu standard, and use the –10 dB setting for consumer equipment operating at the –10 dBV standard.
11 Opera tion Guide Oper ation Guide For example, the DA W ’ s 1-2 outputs can send the main mix to the DA W MIX inputs on Big Knob, and the DA W ’ s 3-4 outputs can send a custom head- phone mix to the DA W PHONES MIX INPUT . Y ou can then use the PHONES/STUDIO OUTS SOURCE button to select the mix for the PHONES and STUDIO OUTS .
