4 INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing Mackie Designs’ active sound r einforcement speak er systems. The FUSSION 3000 is a full-range , me- dium thro w , activ e loudspeaker system capable of extr emely high sound pressur e lev els and wide dispersion.
5 REAR P ANEL DESCRIPTION POWER Switch Switch up to turn the FUSSION 3000 on, and switch down to turn it off. Mak e sure the signal sour ce’s lev el control is down befor e you turn it on.
6 MAIN IN This is a female XLR -type connector that accepts a balanced line-le vel signal from your mixing console or signal pr ocessor . LOOP OUT This is a male XLR -type connector that produces e xactly the same signal that is connected to the MAIN IN jack.
7 PLACEMENT The FUSSION 3000 activ e loudspeakers ar e designed to sit on the floor or to be sus- pended by the rigging points. Y ou can stack cabinets vertically . If you do, turn the upper cabinet upside do wn so the high-frequenc y driver is closest to the high-fr equency driv er in the lower cabinet.
8 RIGGING The FUSSION 3000 cabinets are fitted with rigging points sho wn in the diagram below . W ARNING: Ne ver at- tempt to suspend the FUSSION 3000 activ e loudspeak ers by their handles. If y ou want to suspend them, use the rigging points only .
9 • Is the POWER/PROTECT LED lit r ed ? Mak e sure there is at least six inches of free space behind the heatsinks. Allo w the FUSSION 3000 to cool off and it will turn back on. Poor bass performance • Check the polarity of the connections betw een the mixer and the loudspeak- ers.
