Water Filter Cartridge The water filter cartridge is located in the back upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment. When to Replace the Filter There is a replacement indicator light for the water filter cartridge on the temperature display . This light will turn orange to tell you that you need to replace the filter soon.

LOCA TING THE ANTI-TIP FLOOR BRACKET Place the anti-tip floor bracket locator template (included inside the anti-tip kit) onto the floor up against the rear wall, within W , and in line with the desired location of the RH side of the refrigerator (see Figure 1).

CONNECTING THE REFRIGERA TOR TO THE HOUSE W A TER LINE (cont.) If you are using copper tubing, place a compression nut and ferrule (sleeve) onto the end of the tubing coming from the house cold water supply . If you are using the GE SmartConnect ™ tubing, the nuts are already assembled to the tubing.
Installation Instructions REMOVE THE FRESH FOOD DOOR HANDLE (For placement in the installation location or reversal of the handles – on some models) Stainless steel (on some models): REMOVING THE DOOR HANDLE: Loosen the set screws with the 3/32 ″ Allen wrench and remove the handle.
A TT ACH THE FREEZER DOOR HANDLE Stainless steel and plastic handles: Attach the handle firmly to the mounting fasteners and tighten the set screws on the bottom of the handle with a 1/8 ″ Allen wrench.
LEVEL THE REFRIGERA TOR The leveling legs have 2 purposes: 1) Leveling legs adjust so the refrigerator is firmly positioned on the floor and does not wobble. 2) Leveling legs serve as a stabilizing brake to hold the refrigerator securely in position during operation and cleaning.
25 Installation Instructions REMOVING THE FREEZER DRA WER (on some models) REMOVE THE BASKET Open the freezer drawer until it stops. Cut the 2 wire ties off of the basket with wire cutters. The freezer basket rests inside 4 tabs on the freezer slides.
26 Installation Instructions REPLACING THE FREEZER DRA WER (on some models) A TT ACH AND SECURE THE DRA WER FRONT TO THE SLIDES Pull out the rail assemblies to the full length on each side of the cabinet. Drive the top screw into the door on each side until it is 1/2 way in.
TOOLS YOU WILL NEED Installation Instructions REVERSING THE DOOR SWING (Single Door Refrigerator Models only) IMPORT ANT NOTES When reversing the door swing: NOTE: Door swing is not reversible on stainless steel models. • Read the instructions all the way through before starting.

Set the hinge and bolts aside. 2 28 REVERSING THE DOOR SWING (cont.) INST ALL CENTER HINGE T ransfer the plug button and screw hole cover in the hinge holes on the left side to the right side.
REHANG REFRIGERA TOR DOOR Lower the refrigerator door onto the center hinge pin. Ensure that the plastic hinge pin thimble is on the center hinge pin or inside door hinge pin hole located in the bottom of the door . Insert the top hinge pin into the hinge hole on top of the refrigerator door .
Installation Instructions REMOVING THE DOORS (Double Door Refrigerator Models only) IMPORT ANT NOTES NOTE: Door swing is not reversible. • Read the instructions all the way through before starting. • Handle parts carefully to avoid scratching paint.
REMOVE THE REFRIGERA TOR DOORS (cont.) Remove the hinge cover on top of the refrigerator door by removing the Phillips head screws and pulling it up. Using a 5/16 ″ socket ratchet/driver , remove the bolts securing the top hinge to the cabinet. Then lift the hinge straight up to free the hinge pin from the socket in the top of the door .
Installation Instructions REPLACING THE DOORS (Double Door Refrigerator Models only) INST ALL CENTER HINGE Install the center hinge on each side. REHANG REFRIGERA TOR DOORS Lower the refrigerator door onto the center hinge pin.
Installation Instructions 33 INST ALLING THE W A TER LINE (ICEMAKER MODELS) Recommended copper water supply kits are WX8X2, WX8X3 or WX8X4, depending on the amount of tubing you need. Approved plastic water supply lines are GE SmartConnect ™ Refrigerator T ubing (WX08X10006, WX08X10015 and WX08X10025).
INST ALLING THE W A TER LINE (CONT .) NOTE: The only GE approved plastic tubing is that supplied in GE SmartConnect ™ Refrigerator T ubing kits. Do not use any other plastic water supply line because the line is under pressure at all times. Certain types of plastic will crack or rupture with age and cause water damage to your home.

Choisissez pour le robinet un emplacement facilement accessible. Il vaut mieux le brancher de côté à un tuyau vertical. Si vous devez le brancher à un tuyau horizontal, faites le branchement en haut ou de côté, plutôt qu’en bas du tuyau, pour éviter de recevoir des sédiments du tuyau d’alimentation d’eau.
Placez un écrou de compression et une bague (manchon) à l’extrémité du tuyau et branchez-les au robinet d’arrêt. Assurez-vous que le tuyau soit bien inséré dans le robinet.
