Introduction Thank you f or choosing the Studiophile Series LX4-2.1 / 5.1 studio nearfield monitor speak ers. M-Audio is well kno wn for digital audio interface technology , digital conv erters, audio preamps and mix ers. Now , born fr om extensive resear ch and dev elopment, the Studiophile LX4-2.
Studiophile LX4 Surround System Featur es 1. Satellite W oofer - the Satellite Speak er’ s woof er units are 4 inches in diameter with a magnetically shielded mineral-filled polypr op ylene cone, high- temperature v oice coil and damped closed cell foam sur round.
Speaker Enclosure Fr ont and Rear Panel Featur es LX4-2.1 Subwoofer , Rear 1. TRS Inputs: These jacks accept 1/4” connections with either balanced or unbalanced wiring.
2. Sub V olume: Use the Sub V olume to set the Subwoof er output sound pressur e lev el relativ e to other output channels as r equired. Once the subwoof er to satellite balance is achiev ed, use the Master V olume to control ov erall listening lev els.
LX4 Satellite Speaker , Rear The rear panel of each Satellite Speak er houses a single pair of spring-type speak er terminals. LX4 Satellite Speaker , Fr ont The front panel of each LX4 Satellite Speak er houses single W oofer and T weeter driv ers. Installation - LX4-2.
Speaker Wir e Connections Use speak er wires included in LX5-2.1 package to connect the Left and Right Speak er output terminals, found on the Subw oofer’ s rear panel, to the Left and Right Speak ers.
Connecting to Preamp, Computer or Game Console Outputs Befor e connecting, mak e sure the output de vice’ s pow er has been turned off. Plug the TRS balanced or TS unbalanced cable to the corresponding output connectors of a pre-amplifier , computer or game console .
Speaker Wir e Connections Use speak er wires included in LX4-5.1 Expander package to connect the SL (Surr ound Left), SR (Surr ound Right) and C (Center) Speaker output terminals, found on the Subw oofer’ s r ear panel, to the SL, SR and C Speakers.
