4 5. TIME SET button - This button is used to access the time setting mode. W hen the TIME SET button is pressed momentarily, the display w ill indicate "SET TIM E" and the current time will be display ed with the hours flashing.
6 Display The T UNING DO W N button is also used to decrement the time when the unit is in the SET TIM E, SET AUTO ON T IME , or SET AUTO OFF TIM E mode as described under the TIM E SET button. 8. TUNING UP button - active only w hen the MC 602 is ON and the FM or AM source is selected.
8 The function is turned on by pushing both the VO LUME UP and VOLUM E DOW N buttons at the same time and holding them for 4 seconds. 10 & 11. OPTIONAL SECURITY INTERFA CE - alway s active. If the system is connected with a SECURITY system the VOLUME UP button and VO LUME DOW N button are used to activate the panic alarm.
10 There are four positions for each of these sw itches. INTER COM - A speaker with its sw itch set in the INTE RCOM position will hear all intercom communications (including the chime, if used), but will not hear the audio sources (FM , AM , AUX, and TAPE).
12 MC602 ROOM SPEA KER OPERA TION 19. ROOM SPEAKER/MICROPHONE High-Fidelity Speaker. This also is the microphone for communications from the room. 20. ROOM T ALK button - alway s active. This button is used for talking to the other rooms and to the master.
14 OPTIONAL REMOTE SCAN SPEAKER OPERA TION 23. MUSIC VOLUME U P/ON button - always activ e. This button is used to increase the audio level (volume) of the selected source (FM , AM, AUX , or TAPE) which is sent to all the speakers. The M USIC VOLUM E UP/O N button can also be used to turn the MC 602 ON if it is OFF.
16 Hand Held RF Remote Control OPTIONAL HAND HEL D RF REMOTE CONTROL PROGRAMM ING - Upon initial pow er up of the MC602 or upon apply ing power after the unit loses its memory (pow er outages greater than 2 hours), the unit must be programmed or taught the unique code that is present in the REM OTE C ONTRO L TRANSM ITT ER.
18 VOLUM E buttons on the MC TX H AND HELD C ONTRO LLER for the proper listening volume (this is really setting the max imum listening volume). T he individual music speaker volume control can then be adjusted in rooms w hich require less volume.
