Leave repairs and servicing of your TV set to authorized TV technicians . • Due to the picture tube , TV sets have their center of gravity fairly near to the front.
9 + + Initial installation Remote contr ol Batteries To insert or change the batteries , press the point mark ed by an embossed arrow . Push the cover of the battery compartment down and remove it. Insert the batteries of the alkaline manganese type LR 03 (AAA) with the correct polarity (+/–).
10 Daily handling Switching on/off Y our TV set is equipped with an eco-standby power supply unit. T he power consumption drops to low power in standby mode .

12 TV mode In initial installation and daily operation, the TV set is in TV mode . T his is also the case when none of the other modes of operation such as Digital Recorder , EPG , T eletext, PIP , Video or Radio is selected.
13 Station scan T he frame around the PIP picture must be green. If it is not, press the green button. Start the station scan with the blue button. T he PIP frame turns blue . T he programs now change automatically . Stop the program scan with the blue button.
14 Modes of oper ation accordingly . With the buttons , you mark a station you want to w atch (a program currently running), memorize or record. T he frame turns blue when you press the blue button. T he blue frame signifies station selec- tion .
15 If , for example , you do not receive any EPG providers (analog TV) and no DVB is installed in the TV set, you should switch off the data acqui- sition. P erforming data acquisition T he data must be collected first after these settings or every time the TV is switched off .

17 LOEWE Dialog T he TV has simplified operation for the most important functions , the LOEWE Dialog. A few k ey clicks give you the information you w ant. Y ou should have already made a few settings before using the LOEWE Dialog to provide selection possibilities .
