Linn’ s AKURA TE CD is an advanced multi-format disc player that plays CDs, DTS Audio CDs, and high resolution SACD and DVD-Audio formats to an exceptional standard.
Installation This chapter explains how to install the AKURA TE CD player and how to connect it to a pre-amplifier or system contr oller . Impor tant: It is strongly r ecommended that your AKURA TE CD is installed and configured by an authorised Linn r etailer .

Handset modes If your AKURA TE CD is not responding as expected to handset keys, it is likely that the handset is not in the correct handset mode. This handset has been designed to provide simpler , more intuitive control over a range of Linn pr oducts.

Playing DVD-Audios DVD-Audio discs can contain both stereo (two-channel) and surr ound sound (multi-channel) formats. The AKURA TE CD will automatically begin playback when a DVD-Audio is loaded. The basic controls (play , stop, skip track, etc.) can be used as normal to control playback.
Fast scan T o fast scan forwa r ds or fast scan backwards while a disc is playing: • T o fast scan forwards at 2x normal speed, pr ess on the handset. Further presses of increase the speed of forwar d playback: 4x, 6x, 8x normal speed. • Press ( ( p p l l a a y y ) ) to r esume normal playback.
Additional controls This section explains how to use the additional Repeat, Shuffle and Program functions for advanced contr ol of your music. Repeat The Repeat function allows you to repeat all or part of a disc. Repeat disc T o repeat an entire di sc: • Begin playing the disc.
Once the ‘B’ point is set, the chosen section automatically plays repeatedly . T o cancel the Repeat section function: • Press S S H H I I F F T T on the handset, then A A - - B B (‘3’ key) within two seconds. Shuffle The Shuffle function plays the tracks of a disc in a random or der .

If set to IGNORED, these commands will only be accepted if the handset is in CD mode.
