2 1 A Insert the Setup CD-ROM into your CD-ROM d rive . The Setup Wizard should run automatically and the W elcome screen should appear . If it does not , click Start and the n Ru n . In the field provided, ent er D:WRT54G3G.ex e (if “ D ” is the letter of your CD ROM drive).
3 A Before you begin , make sure that you have your V odafone Mobile Connect Card Services information, which was supplied with your Mobile Connect Card package at the time of purchase. If you d o not have this information, call V odafone Customer Services.
4 A Make sure that the 3G/UMTS Router is powered off . B Disconnect the cable that connects your cable or DSL modem to your PC. C Plug the cable from th e modem into the Rout er ’s blue Internet port . This is the same cable that you just disconnected from your computer .
5 F Connect the power adapter to the Router's P ower port and the other end to an electric a l outlet . G On the Router 's front panel, the P ower , Internet, a nd at least one of the numbered (1, 2, 3 or 4) LEDs should be lit . If not make sure the cables are securely connected.
6 A Before you begin, make sure that you have your V odafone Mobile Connect Card Services informa tion, which w as supp lied with your Mobile Connect Card package at the time of purchase . If you do not have this information, cal l V odafone Customer Services.
7 H Plug th e other end of th e netw ork cable into one of the R outer ’s yellow ports numbered 1 to 4. I Connect the power adapter to the Router's P ower port and the other end to an electric a l outlet . J On the Router 's front panel, the P ower , Internet, a nd at least one of the numbered (1, 2, 3 or 4) LEDs should be lit .
8 A If the Mobile Connect Card is not inserted or recognized , you will be prompted to insert a V odafone Mobile Connect 3G/UMTS Card. If you wish to configure the R outer without your V odafone Mobil.
9 D Based on the SIM country settings , the following information will be displayed: a. Home Network b. Ser vice c. 3G/UMTS/GPRS connection d. APN e. Username (countr y dependen t) f. P assword (countr y dependen t) g. Pin code (SIM card dependen t) Choose: • the required Ser vice option .
10 A Static IP . If your ISP assigns you a static IP address , select St atic IP from the drop-down menu . Complete the Internet I P Address , Subnet Mask , Gateway , and DNS fiel ds. Y ou need to enter at least one DNS address . B PPPoE . If you are connecting through PPP oE, select PPP oE from the menu.
11 A Create a new password and enter it in the new P assword field. Re-enter the passwo rd in the Confirm field. Proceed to step 8. 7 Configuring the P assword Setting A.
12 8 A Wireless Network Name (SS ID). The SSID is the network name shared among all points in a wireless network. The SSID must be identical for all points in the wireless network. It is case- sensitive and must not exceed 32 characters (use any of the characters on the k eyboard).
