Phoneline 10M Ethernet Bridge 4 Getting to Know the HomeLink Phoneline 10M Cable/DSL Router Rear Panel Ports Phone Use this port for connecting your telephone. It emplo ys a microf ilter for signal clarity . Do not plug your telephone into any of the other ports.

The follo wing instr uctions will hav e your HomeLink Phoneline Router up and running in minutes. Basic Installation 1. Make sur e that ev ery component of y our netw ork (including an y PCs and the HomeLink Phoneline Router) is po wered of f.
If your netw ork connections begins acting erratically , you ma y w ant to reset the Homelink Phoneline Router . T o reset your Homelink Phoneline Router , do the follo wing: 1. Shut do wn all of your netw ork components. 2. Disconnect the Homelink Phoneline Router’ s pow er supply and w ait f ive seconds.
3. The HomeLink Phoneline 10M Cab le/DSL Router’ s Setup page will appear . 4. Conf igure the f ollo wing v alues . Router Name & Domain Name These f ields allo w you to suppl y a host and domain name for the HomeLink Phoneline Router . Some ISPs require these names as identif ication.
7. Unless you alr eady ha v e a DHCP serv er on your internal netw ork, choose Enab le from the DHCP Server f ield. By choosing Enable, you will con- f igure the HomeLink Phoneline Router to automatically assign IP address- es to each of your PCs.
6. W indows will ask y ou to restar t the PC. Click the Y es button. Repeat steps 1-6 for each PC on y our netw ork. When all of y our PCs are conf igured, the HomeLink Phoneline Router Setup and Installation is complete. Enter the port number used by the server . On the same line, enter the IP Address of the server that you w ant the Inter net users to be able to access.
T o create a static route entr y: 1. Select Static Route Entry from the drop do wn list. The HomeLink Phoneline Router supports up to 20 static route entries. 2. Enter the follo wing data to create a new static route: Destination LAN IP The Destination LAN IP is the Address of the remote netw ork or host to which you w ant to assign a static route.

• If y ou are connecting to a cable modem, try plugging the cable modem into the HomeLink Phoneline Router’ s uplink por t rather than a 10BaseT port.
