6 All de vices on the same SCSI chain must hav e unique ID numbers, b ut de vices on dif ferent SCSI chains may use the same SCSI ID number . (For example, you could hav e a CD-R OM driv e with ID number 3 connected to the internal SCSI chain and a tape dri ve with ID number 3 connected to the external SCSI chain.
